SONG
If I could reach the stars, I'd pull one down for you
Shine it on my heart, so you could see the truth
That this love I have inside, is everything it seems
But for now I find, it's only in my dreams
That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You would think my love was really something good
Baby, if I could, change the world
If I could be king, even for a day
I'd take you as my queen, I'd have it no other way
And our love will rule, in this kingdom we have made
Till then I'd be a fool, wishing for the day
The song’s message may be romantic, however the song has been used for
volunteering conventions and to inspire people to do good.
Volunteering:
Giving of Your Time, Talents, and Treasures
Conversation
-A nonprofit organization is run as a normal company, with the exception
that it does not make money. This includes setting aside money for salaries.
-A charity is mostly involved in social causes such as providing relief
in disasters and fighting epidemics and other serious ailments. A charity's
money is dedicated for a specific purpose. It does not make money in terms of
profits, but it relies heavily on unpaid volunteers rather than professional
staffs. All charities are nonprofits, but not all nonprofits are charities.
